Privacy policy
How Kurd Barber handles the small amount of personal information this website collects.
Last updated: 6 October 2026. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use this website. It is written to meet the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
Kurd Barber (Kurd Barber 7 Limited, company number 15427711), 42a Lower Street, Pulborough, RH20 2BW. You can reach us on 07379 033379 or through the contact form on this site. For data protection purposes we are the controller of the information described below.
What we collect
- Contact form. Your name, email address, phone number if you give one, and whatever you write in the message.
- Essential cookies. A single record of your cookie choice, so the banner does not reappear on every page.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third party analytics on this site.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
We use what you send only to answer you. The lawful basis is legitimate interests, specifically replying to someone who has asked us a question. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not sell or share your details for marketing.
How long we keep it
Our website does not store contact form messages. Each message is sent to our email inbox as an email. We keep it only for as long as we need to deal with your enquiry, then we delete it. The service that sends the message to our inbox keeps a copy for 30 days, then deletes it automatically. Your cookie preference stays in your own browser until you clear it.
Who else sees it
Messages pass through our website host and our email sending service purely so they reach us. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not an automated program, is sending the message. For that check, Cloudflare processes technical information about your browser and device, including your IP address, and Cloudflare’s own privacy policy applies. The map on the contact page is embedded from Google Maps. Loading that page means your browser contacts Google, whose own privacy policy then applies.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us on 07379 033379 or through the form. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
